Porto welcomes 28-month transnational European Project on Volunteer Management

Posted on the 15/02/2019 – Organisations from 5 different countries gather on the 3rd time Best European Destination. The third meeting of Levol-App project in Porto, Portugal will happen in February, giving a kick off to the volunteer management training of the project’s partner representatives.

The third transnational activity of the project will be a meeting that will join representatives from all the project’s partner organizations. The event will take place between the 18th and the 22nd of February, in Porto (Portugal), with the purpose of training Levol-App’s future coaches in the field of volunteer management. Coordinated by Pista Mágica – Escola de Voluntariado (Portugal) with the support of Neo Sapiens (Spain), Associazione di Promozione Sociale Futuro Digitale (Italy), Platforma dobrovolnickych centier a organizacii (PDCO) (Slovakia) and the Birmingham Voluntary Service Council (BVSC) (United Kingdom), the initiative aims to promote teamwork and exchange of good practices regarding the training of those responsible for the creation and coordination of volunteer management programs (at local or international levels).

This third event is one of the many essential steps towards Levol-App’s main goal of creating an online platform that can help all NGOs on improving the competences and professional skills of their volunteer managers and better engaging their volunteers as active citizens.
